Who we are
Becovic Management Group runs becovicmgmt.com. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Becovic Management Group. The policy covers this website only. It does not cover our communities’ own websites, or what you give us in person, by phone, or when you lease an apartment.
You can reach us through our Contact Us page or at either of our offices:
- Indiana Headquarters: Becovic Management Group, 8100 E 106th Street, Suite 200, Fishers, IN 46038, (317) 570-0400
- Florida Headquarters: Becovic Companies, 50 N Laura Street, Suite 2900, Jacksonville, FL 32202, (904) 481-0440
Information you send us
The site asks for personal information only through its forms:
- The contact form on our Contact Us page asks for your name, email address, and message, and, if you choose to add them, your phone number, a property name, and one file (a PDF, image, or document of up to 10 MB).
- The Becovic Cares form asks for your name, email address, and message, and, if you choose, your organization.
- The newsletter sign-up at the foot of every page asks for your email address.
Nothing you type is sent until you submit the form.
Job applications. The site has no application form. You download our employment application from the careers page, fill it in, and email it to the address shown there, so your completed application reaches us by email and never passes through the site. We use it to consider you for the job.
Information collected automatically
Like any website, the site receives technical information from your browser on each visit, such as your IP address, your browser and device type, the date and time, the page you asked for, and the page that linked you here. Our hosting providers use it to deliver pages and to protect the site from attacks and abuse, and they may record it in their logs.
When you send any of the forms, the site also notes your IP address and the time, so it can limit how many submissions one visitor can make in a short period. This note lives only in the server’s memory. It is never added to what you send or saved to a database or file. The site ignores it after 24 hours, and deletes it when it next clears out old notes or when the server restarts.
The site does not use analytics or advertising tools.
How we use information
- To answer your message or request, which may include passing it to the team at the property or office it concerns.
- To review and reply to requests sent through Becovic Cares.
- To send our newsletter to people who sign up for it.
- To consider job applications you email us.
- To run the site, keep it secure, and stop spam and abuse of the forms.
- To keep records of our correspondence as part of running our business.
- To meet our legal obligations and to protect our rights and the safety of others.
Who we share it with
We share information only as described here.
- Within Becovic. We may pass what you send to the people at Becovic Management Group or its affiliated Becovic companies who can help with it, such as the team at the community you asked about.
- Service providers. DigitalOcean hosts the site. Cloudflare, which DigitalOcean uses, delivers its pages and screens traffic for attacks. Resend delivers each form submission, with any file you attach, to our email inbox, and our email provider stores the messages we receive. If we use a mailing service to send the newsletter, it receives the list’s email addresses for that purpose. Each handles information to provide its service, under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information when the law requires it, or when we believe it is needed to protect our rights, our property, or someone’s safety.
- Business changes. If we sell or transfer all or part of our business, or a property we manage, information related to it may pass to the buyer as part of the transaction.
We do not sell personal information.
Cookies and similar storage
The site itself sets no cookies for visitors and stores nothing in your browser.
Cloudflare sets one cookie, __cf_bm, which helps it tell people from automated traffic. It expires after 30 minutes.
Our staff who preview unpublished changes from our content management system, and anyone who opens a link we send them to review a change, also receive two cookies, __prerender_bypass and bmg_preview, which turn the preview on. Other visitors never receive them. A preview lasts an hour, and a review up to seven days.
Google Maps and YouTube may set cookies of their own, as described below. You can block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings.
Third-party content and links
Some parts of the site load from other companies. Each receives your IP address and basic information about your browser when it loads, as any website does, and handles it under its own terms and policies.
- Google Maps. The office maps on our Contact Us page are embedded from Google Maps, and Google may set its own cookies. Google’s Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) applies.
- OpenFreeMap. The interactive maps on our communities, development, and commercial pages, and on each community’s page, load their map images and labels from OpenFreeMap (opens in a new tab) as the map comes into view.
- YouTube. Where a blog post includes a video, nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. The player then loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube may record your viewing and store cookies or similar data on your device. Google’s Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) applies.
Everything else, including the site’s fonts and photographs, loads from our own site.
The site also links to other websites, including our communities’ own websites, our social media pages, Signature Supply, Becovic Companies, and our team video on Vimeo, and office addresses open in Google Maps. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them.
How long we keep information
We normally keep messages in our forms inbox and newsletter addresses on a list there, which only people we invite can sign in to, and also receive them by email. If the inbox can’t take one, it reaches us by email alone. For an attached file, the inbox keeps only its name and size. Emailed job applications are never kept there. We keep messages and job applications for as long as we need them to respond, follow up, and make decisions, and then as part of our ordinary business records for as long as we have a business or legal reason to. We keep your newsletter sign-up until you ask us to remove you. Our hosting providers keep their logs under their own policies.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information. The site uses encrypted HTTPS connections, and its forms check what they receive and limit how often they can be used. No website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of anything you send us, including an application sent by email. Please do not send sensitive information, such as Social Security, bank account, or credit card numbers, through the site’s forms.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us information through the site, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and how to contact us
You do not have to give us any information to use the site. If you would rather not use a form, you can call or write to either office instead.
To stop receiving our newsletter, contact us and ask to be removed from the list.
You can ask us about the information you have sent us through the site, or ask us to correct or delete it. We will do so where we can, though we may need to keep some records for legal or business reasons.
For any question about this policy, use our Contact Us page, or call or write to either office listed above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top.
