Exciting Upgrades Are Coming to The Residences at Barnett
We are excited to share that The Residences at Barnett was recently featured in the Jacksonville Business Journal (opens in a new tab) for the exciting upgrades and expansion plans coming to our Downtown Jacksonville community.
At Becovic Management Group, we are committed to creating communities that offer more than just a place to live. We strive to create spaces where residents can truly thrive. Since acquiring The Residences at Barnett (opens in a new tab) in late 2025, our team has been focused on enhancing both the resident experience and the long-term future of this historic property, and we are thrilled to officially move forward with the next phase of improvements.
A New Amenities Floor Designed for Modern Living
As highlighted in the recent JBJ article, we are transforming the third floor into a dedicated resident amenities space designed with convenience, wellness, productivity, and entertainment in mind.
Planned features include:
- Modern kitchen and bar area
- State-of-the-art fitness center
- Stretch and mobility studio
- Media lounge
- Conference and coworking spaces
- Resident lounge areas
- Billiards and entertainment spaces
- Podcast room
- Rentable storage options
- Updated leasing and office spaces
This approximately 7,000-square-foot addition reflects our continued investment in creating thoughtfully designed living experiences that support both work and lifestyle needs for our residents.
Expanding Residential Opportunities Downtown
In addition to the new amenities floor, we are also converting the sixth and seventh floors into additional apartment homes, bringing 18 new residences to the property.
Downtown Jacksonville continues to grow, and we are proud to contribute to that momentum by expanding high-quality residential opportunities within one of the city’s most historic and recognizable buildings.
Preserving History While Building the Future
The Residences at Barnett represents a unique blend of historic architecture and modern urban living. Our goal has always been to honor the character and legacy of the building while continuing to enhance the experience for current and future residents.
We appreciate the Jacksonville Business Journal (opens in a new tab) for recognizing this exciting next chapter for The Residences at Barnett, and we look forward to sharing more updates as progress continues.
