Which of these design trends could you see yourself implementing in your apartment home?
As we enter the new year, sources like Pinterest, Sherwin-Williams, and Better Homes & Gardens are putting forth what experts predict will be the top home decor trends of 2023. Whether you are planning to fully redecorate your apartment this year or add a few trendy elements, there are plenty of fresh ideas on the horizon for reimagining your space. Take a look at these anticipated trends for 2023!
1. Pinterest Predicts "Hipstoric" Home Decor Will Gain Popularity
What is a "Hipstoric" home? Pinterest has coined this term to describe the rising trend of decorating a home using antique, vintage, and thrifted items. This trend can really be pulled together beautifully in one of our newly constructed apartment communities. Tying together the luxury of new appliances and finishes in your apartment with the charm and integrity of antique furniture and statement pieces could create a truly unique and timeless apartment space. 2. Sherwin-Williams's Color Collection of The Year is "The Vintage Homestead"
The Vintage Homestead collection coordinates quite well with the "Hipstoric Home" trend that Pinterest has predicted. They describe their selection with words and phrases like nostalgia, charm, elegance, and past meets present. Part of their collection is their color of the year, "darkroom", a deep shade that coordinates with all of the chosen 2023 colors. We have to admit, we could picture many of these colors complementing the calming neutrals that adorn our apartment communities. We highly recommend tying these new color trends into your apartment by using throw pillows, rugs, and curtains. 3. Better Homes & Gardens States That "Eco-Conscious Homes" Are On The Rise
This trend focuses more on functionality and materials than aesthetics. In 2023, experts expect to see a continuation in the use of natural materials in homes. Choosing wooden furniture over plastic or decorating with real houseplants rather than synthetic are examples of decorating in an eco-conscious manner. May the peace and serenity of the great outdoors grace your space with the natural elements you choose to incorporate in your apartment!
